Anthracite Composite Bullnose Decking Edge Board

MIGHTY DECK Composite Bullnose Edge boards are 3.66 Metres long X 137  X 25 mm, with wood grain on one side and grooved on the other.

Each board comes with a pack of 6 bullnose braces with square drive screws, for securing the board to the subframe on the Bullnose Edge side. Every delivery also comes with a free Square Drive Drill Bit.

For securing the grooved side of the board you will need a T or SS clip for bullnoses laid length ways but if you are installing bullnose boards against board ends, you will need starter clips.

If you'd prefer to secure your Bullnose Board by screws through the top and into the subframe, you could buy our matching "fascia screws", for this purpose, however please ensure you make a pilot hole, 6 or 7 mm wide, to allow for expansion and contraction.

Bullnose boards are used mainly when you have exposed edges of decking areas that you would like to finish off with a matching or contrasting full width board with a rounded edge on the outside. When mitred at the corner ends they create a fabulous "picture frame" around  your composite decking area, steps  planters and anything else you are making with composite boards.

Anthracite Mighty Deck:

To work out the number of Bullnose Edge Boards you need simply measure the total outer edge lengths you require, divide by 3.66 and “round up”, this will give you the number of Bullnose Edge Boards to order.

About Mighty Deck Boards

Mighty Deck, is named so,  as it is one of the strongest, most slip resistant composite decking products. Mighty Deck has been tested for slip resistance using the Pendulum Test, tested to British Standards BS7976 and resulted in a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 41 longitudinal and 43 horizontal. A PTV value of over 36 means there is a low slip potential ( lower than 1 in 1 million ) so Mighty Deck is an excellent choice if slip resistance is a priority.

The tests are done on clean decking so to maintain the slip resistance as well as the aesthetics you will of course need to remove/wash off snow, ice, grime etc.

Installation

To ensure you enjoy your decking area for many years to come and to be covered under the 10 year warranty,  boards must be installed following the Install Guide. Please pay particular attention to the 300 mm joist centres, airflow under the decking area, 6 mm gaps allowing for expansion and contraction and double joists and clips for board end to ends. Of course, if you are using a professional decking installer you will need to make sure they read and follow the guide too.
